Industrial raw coal, crude oil and natural gas of above state designated scale grew steadily in November, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Dec. 15.

Raw coal production was slightly accelerated. In November, China produced 350 million tons of raw coal, up 1.5% year-on-year and 0.1 percentage faster than the previous month. Daily output was 11.58 million tons, up 720,000 tons month-on-month. From January to November, China produced 3.48 billion tons of raw coal, up 0.4% year-on-year. The decline in coal imports has narrowed. In November, the import of coal was 11.67 million tons, down 2.06 million tons month-on-month and 43.8% year-on-year, down 2.5 percentage points. From January to November, China imported 260 million tons of coal, down 10.8% year-on-year. Port coal composite trading prices rose. On November 27, Qinhuangdao port 5500 kcal, 5000 kcal and 4500 kcal thermal coal composite trading prices were 586 yuan, 533 yuan and 474 yuan per ton, respectively, up 11 yuan, 10 yuan and 10 yuan than October 30.

Crude oil production growth slowed slightly. In November, crude oil production reached 15.96 million tons, up 1.2% year on year, down 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. The daily output is 532,000 tons, up by 3,000 tons month-on-month. Processed crude oil reached 58.35 million tons, up 3.2% and 0.6 percentage points faster than the previous month. From January to November, China produced 180 million tons of crude oil, up by 1.6% year-on-year. Processed crude oil amounted to 610 million tons, up 3.1%. Crude oil import decline narrowed, international crude oil prices rose. The import of crude oil reached 45.36 million tons, up 2.8 million tons month-on-month and down 0.8% year-on-year, or 5.6 percentage points less than the previous month. From January to November, imported crude oil reached 500 million tons, up 9.5% year-on-year. On November 30, spot FOB Brent crude was trading at $46.84 a barrel, up 28.9% than $36.33 a barrel on October 30.

Natural gas continues to maintain rapid growth. In November, China produced 16.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas, up 11.8% year-on-year and 0.1 percentage point lower than the previous month. The daily output is 560 million cubic meters, an increase of 30 million cubic meters month-on-month. From January to November, China produced 170.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, up 9.3% year-on-year. The import of natural gas changed from increase to decrease. Imports of natural gas in November were 9.18 million tons, down 3.0% from a year earlier and up 16.1% from the previous month. From January to November, China imported 90.44 million tons of natural gas, up 3.9% year-on-year.
