Oil prices pressure caused by a severe supply glut in the global oil market continued, international oil price falling sharply on 21 April.
Light crude delivered in June fell as low as $6.50 a barrel in intraday trading on the New York mercantile exchange, while London Brent crude delivered in June fell as low as $17.51 a barrel.
Light crude delivered in June June in the ending of the day dropped $8.86, declining 43.37%, at $11.57 a barrel on the New York mercantile exchange. In London, brent crude delivered in June fell $6.24, declining 24.40%, to $19.33 a barrel.
In addtion, Nymex light crude futures delivered in May rebounded sharply from the contract's previous close of $37.63 a barrel on the last day of trading, rising $47.64, to $10.01 a barrel. However, only 12,000 lots were traded on the day, well below the 2.208 million lots of light crude delivered in June.
