The latest statistics released by the state customs showed that in the first two months of this year, China's imports and exports of fertilizer both appeared a decline of more than 26%, which was the first time in recent years. Among them, the export volume of fertilizer was 2.7 million tons, down 26.2% year on year. Exports were $5.5, down 45.4% year on year. Fertilizer imports were 1.7 million tons, down 31.3% year on year. Imports were $530 million, down 32.2% year on year.

According to the analysis of industry insiders, the main reason for the decline of both the import and export of fertilizers is the slowing of logistics and the weakening of demand due to the epidemic of COVID 19. At the same time, the international fertilizer market trend is not good, which also has a certain impact on imports and exports.

From the export data, in the first two months, diammonium phosphate export decreased the largest, the export volume was 260,000 tons, down 63.7% year on year.

From the import data, the import volume of potassium chloride in the first two months was the largest, reaching 1.3 million tons, down 39.1% year on year.
