In 2020, the added value of the chemical industry increased by 3.4% year-on-year Comefrom:CCIN    AddDate:2021-01-27    Hit:2403

China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released data on January 18, showing that the industrial added value above designated scale increased by 2.8% in 2020 as compared with that of last year, and part of them were the manufactures of chemical raw materials and chemical products, going up by 3.4%.

In Dec., 2020, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.3% year-on-year and 1.10% month-on-month. Among them, the manufactures of chemical raw materials and chemical products grew by 7.5% year-on-year.

In terms of industries, in December, 2020, 35 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth in added value. The agricultural food processing industry grew by 1.5%; the textile industry rose by 5.2%; the manufactures of chemical raw materials and chemical products went up by 7.5%; the nonmetallic mineral products industry increased by 7.5%; the ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry showed an increase of 10.7%; the nonferrous metal smelting and rolling industry was up by 3.8%; and the automobile industry increased by 9.7%.

In terms of products, in Dec., 2020, among 612 products, there were 417 products showing year-on-year growth. There were 2.08 million tons of ethylene, up by 11.3%, and 2.804 million automobiles, up by 6.5%, of which 238,000 were new-energy vehicles, up by 55.6%, power generation was 727.7 billion kilowatt hours, up by 9.1%; Crude oil processing capacity reached 60 million tons, up by 2.1%.

In Dec., 2020, the selling rate of industrial enterprises was 98.4%, the same as that in Dec., 2019. The export delivery value of industrial enterprises reached 1,275.3 billion yuan, showing a nominal increase of 9.5% year-on-year.
