On March 12, local time, Roman leshchenko, Minister of Food and Agricultural Policy of Ukraine, said that the Ukrainian government decided to temporarily ban the export of all types of chemical fertilizers.
Leshchenko said that in order to maintain the balance of the domestic fertilizer market during the war, the government decided to implement non-export policy of chemical fertilizers. According to reports, the ban involves nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium fertilizers and compound fertilizers.
Leshchenko stressed that the export ban is mandatory and temporary, aimed at restoring the balance of the domestic market and ensuring the normal progress of agricultural activities, so as to prevent the food crisis in Ukraine and the world. (CCTV reporter: Xu Hongbo).
