Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on July 15 showed that the utilization rate of industrial capacity in the second quarter of 2019 was 76.4%, down 0.4% from the same period last year and up 0.5% from the first quarter. Among them, the oil and gas exploitation industry accounted for 90.9%, up 2.1% year-on-year. The manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemical products was 74.9%, up 0.1% year-on-year.
In the second quarter, mining capacity utilization was 74.6%, rose by 1.3% from a year earlier. Manufacturing capacity utilization was 76.9%, down 0.3% from a year earlier. The utilization rate of power, heat, gas, water production and supply industries was 70.8%, down 2.0% from the same period last year.
Points of major industries, in the second quarter, the capacity utilization rate of coal mining and washing industry was 70.7%, food manufacturing was 73.2%, textile industry was 78.6%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing was 74.9%, non-metallic mineral products was 70.8%, black metal smelting and rolling processing industry was 80.9%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry was 80.5%, general equipment manufacturing industry showed 78.3%, pecial equipment manufacturing was 78.6%, auto industry was 76.2%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing showed 79.3%, The manufacturing of computer, and communication and other electronic equipment was 79.9%.
In the first half of this year, industrial capacity utilization reached 76.2%, down 0.5% from the same period last year. Oil and gas exploitation industry was 91.1%, up 3.9% year-on-year. The manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemical products was 74.3%, down 1.1% year-on-year.
