Five associations and chambers of commerce have called for stable fertilizer supply and prices Comefrom:CCIN    AddDate:2021-08-11    Hit:1634

News of the new network on August 7th, in view of the rising prices of nitrogen, phosphate, potash and other major fertilizer varieties in China this year, to encourage domestic fertilizer enterprises to actively fulfill their social responsibilities, protect farmers' enthusiasm for growing grain, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the fertilizer industry, China Agricultural Means of Protection Association, China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association, China Phosphate Fertilizer & Compound Fertilizer Industry Association, the potash industry branch of the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association, China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers and Exporters issued the 28th notice to all member units, which refered to a joint initiative to increase the production and supply of domestic fertilizer market and stabilize the market price.

First, efforts should be made to reduce the export of chemical fertilizers and related raw materials, giving priority to ensuring supply in the domestic market. From now on, member units are not encouraged to sign new export contracts, agricultural distribution enterprises should actively communicate with upstream chemical fertilizer production and supply enterprises to realize multi-channel procurement and increase the domestic market supply.

Second, hoarding is strictly prohibited, and fertilizers produced should be actively invested in the domestic market. When selling fertilizers, we should take the grass-roots network and end-users as the main target, actively track the sales direction, and guide the goods not to hoard and transfer in the middle link.

Third, the following principles should be followed when setting the sale price of fertilizers. Keep reasonable price difference to benefit farmers; not to raise prices sharply when there is no significant changes in costs; frequent price adjustment is not allowed; the increasing expectations of price is not allowed to be released.

The initiative also proposes that all member units should improve their political consciousness, firmly establish a sense of the overall situation, fully realize the importance of actively responding to the call for stable supply and price of domestic fertilizer, strive to ensure adequate supply, stable price and adequate service of domestic fertilizer, and effectively assume their social responsibilities as members of the national business association.
